Impossible Solutions is an independent ChatGPT Ads specialist. We assess whether the channel fits your business, then instrument, test and measure it properly from day one, and decide on the evidence.

The shift
Search gave marketers keywords. Conversations reveal intent.
More decisions now begin with a question.
Some purchase decisions now unfold inside an assistant: a person describes a situation, compares options, rules things out and arrives at a shortlist in one conversation. A keyword told you what somebody typed; a conversation carries the problem behind it.
Ads and answers are separate
Per OpenAI, ads are labelled as sponsored, visually separated from the response and run on systems separate from the chat model. Advertisers cannot shape, rank or alter what ChatGPT says. The value is in reaching a person as their intent forms, not in influencing what they are told.
Independent ChatGPT Ads specialist
Independent, specialist-led, and run on evidence.
Impossible Solutions is not an agency and not affiliated with OpenAI. A specialist practice built around one channel and one method: deciding on evidence whether ChatGPT Ads can acquire customers for your business at a cost that works, and what to do about it.
- 01
Commercial fit
Should this business buy ChatGPT Ads at all? Ads Fit answers it with hard gates, weighted dimensions and a written recommendation, before any spend.
- 02
Experiment discipline
Hypothesis, variant, evidence, decision. Two or three hypotheses, four to six variants, one change at a time, an agreed evidence standard before any verdict.
- 03
Revenue Truth
Platform-attributed, business-verified and incrementality-estimated revenue kept apart and reconciled. Never collapsed into one return figure.
- 04
Buyer Intelligence
What campaign, creative, landing-page, conversion and CRM outcomes teach about who buys and why. Never private ChatGPT conversations.
Ads Fit
Should you advertise here at all?
Before any media, Ads Fit answers that question in writing. It is the Ads Fit Assessment, €495, credited in full against a Founding Performance Pilot that starts within 30 days — and it can say no.
The result is one of five written recommendations — go, go with conditions, fix first, not now, or no fit — always shown with its confidence and the assumptions behind it, never as a number alone. Delivery complexity is judged on a separate axis; the two can disagree, and when they do we say so.
The gates: any one failed ends the assessment
- 01
Your category and creative are eligible under OpenAI’s advertising policies
- 02
Your advertising legal entity can open an account in its country
- 03
Your target market is one where ads are currently served
- 04
You have a business outcome that can be measured, not just traffic
- 05
You can fund a test large enough to support a decision
- 06
Conversion tracking is technically possible on your site or app
- 07
Your consent and privacy setup is compatible with the tracking required
- 08
No platform-approval or competitive-position risk blocks the account
The weighted dimensions: scored with confidence and assumptions
- 09
Commercial economics: margin, target acquisition cost and what a click may cost — the heaviest weight
- 10
Reachable audience: whether the people who buy from you use ad-supported plans, and how sure we can be
- 11
Conversational intent: whether your purchase decision is the kind people talk through
- 12
Measurement readiness: how much of the outcome can be tracked and verified today
- 13
Funnel readiness: whether the landing page and conversion path can carry the intent
- 14
Testability: whether the expected signal volume allows a decision within the pilot
- 15
Offer and creative readiness: whether there is something specific to say
45-Day Founding Performance Pilot
Forty-five days. One market. One conversion path. One decision.
The Founding Performance Pilot is the first managed campaign engagement: a 45-day test of ChatGPT Ads for one advertiser, in one primary market, on one primary conversion path. The clock starts when readiness is complete — account, access, tracking, measurement plan and success definition all in place — not at signature.
The founding cohort is deliberately limited: delivery is hands-on and evidence-intensive, and comparable setups teach more than volume. Founding advertisers get the founding service fee below, and the Ads Fit Assessment credited in full when the pilot starts within 30 days of the assessment.
- Duration
- 45 days, counted from readiness complete
- Scope
- One advertiser, one primary market, one primary conversion path
- Media
- Typically €5,000–10,000, paid by you directly to OpenAI, never through us
- Founding service fee
- €2,500 for the 45-day pilot; the €495 Ads Fit Assessment is credited in full when the pilot starts within 30 days of the assessment
What the pilot includes
- 01
Ads Fit validated, measurement planned
The assessment’s assumptions checked against the live account, and a written plan for what is measured, how, and against which definition of success.
- 02
Campaign architecture and instrumentation
Intent and context map, campaign structure, a standard tracking audit, OpenAI Pixel setup and QA, and a simple Conversions API integration where it is straightforward.
- 03
Four to six variants across two or three hypotheses
Purposeful launch variants, evidence-led iterations, weekly optimisation and a Conversion Experience audit.
- 04
Reconciliation, Buyer Intelligence and a decision
Revenue reconciled to your own systems where they permit, a Buyer Intelligence Brief, and a written Scale / Iterate / Stop recommendation on day 45.
What it does not include
- No guaranteed results, return on ad spend or cost per acquisition
- No preferential media pricing, and no media ever routed through us
- No exclusive access to OpenAI, inventory or accounts
- No complex server-side tracking, backend work or multi-market rollout; those are separate scope
The operating logic
Fit → Instrument → Test → Reconcile → Learn → Decide.
Every engagement runs the same six steps. Each one produces something written before the next begins, and the last one is a decision, not a report.
01Fit
Should you advertise here at all?
Ads Fit first: the hard gates, then the weighted dimensions, then a written recommendation. If the answer is no or not yet, it stops here, before any media is spent.
Fit
- Policy eligible
- Market available
- Outcome measurable
- Test budget decision-useful
- Ads Fit: go with conditions
Illustrative Impossible Solutions methodology. The examples show the shape of each step; they are not client results and not a representation of OpenAI’s systems.
Revenue Truth
Three kinds of revenue. Never one number.
Platform reports, your own systems and an incrementality design answer three different questions. We keep the three answers apart, report the gap between them, and never add them up into one return figure.
- Measure
- Reconcile
- Read
- Decide
- 01
Platform-attributed
What OpenAI’s Ads Manager attributes to ad clicks or impressions within its windows, as reported through the Pixel and the Conversions API. The operating metric for optimisation, not the verdict.
- 02
Business-verified
Orders, leads and revenue confirmed in your own systems and reconciled to the campaign period — by order id, lead id or tracking parameter, net of refunds where your systems record them. The basis for any commercial conclusion.
- 03
Incrementality-estimated
The share of verified outcomes that would not have happened without the ads, estimated only from an experimental design agreed in writing beforehand. Within a founding pilot it is usually shown as “not estimated”, never as zero and never assumed.

- 05Every test ends with a decision: Scale, Iterate or Stop
Experiment system
Hypotheses, variants, one change at a time.
A founding pilot tests two or three hypotheses through four to six launch variants. Each test changes one thing, runs to the evidence standard agreed before launch, and ends in a decision.
- 01
Hypothesis
A written statement of what should work and why — an angle, a context, an audience — with the metric that will judge it.
- 02
Variant
Four to six launch variants across the hypotheses, each differing in one thing, so the result can be attributed to that thing.
- 03
Evidence
Judged against the agreed evidence standard, with confidence stated. Click-through winners are never promoted as revenue winners without verified outcomes.
- 04
Decision
Scale, Iterate or Stop — for the test, then for the pilot. Every decision is recorded with the evidence behind it.
Conversion experience
An ad that answers the question well is wasted on a page that does not. The pilot includes a Conversion Experience audit of what happens after the click.
- Message match: the landing page continues the answer the ad gave
- Speed and clarity on mobile and desktop alike
- The primary conversion path, with its friction found and removed
- Conversion tracking on the events that matter, verified before launch
Buyer Intelligence
What the outcomes teach about your buyers.
A pilot ends with a Buyer Intelligence Brief: what campaign, creative, landing-page, conversion and CRM outcomes say about who buys, in which context, and why. Each finding carries its evidence, its confidence and the next experiment it suggests.
What it draws on
- Context and theme performance from Ads Manager aggregates
- Creative angle and variant performance
- Landing-page behaviour from your own analytics
- Conversion quality: qualified rate, order composition, refunds
- CRM status and customer outcomes for leads you own
- First-party data you choose to share
What it never uses
- Private ChatGPT chats or conversation histories
- Memories, transcripts or user identities
- Precise locations or any user-level data from ChatGPT
OpenAI does not provide any of this to advertisers, and we would not use it if it did. Buyer Intelligence is built from advertiser-side signals and platform-reported aggregates, never private ChatGPT conversations.
Who it may suit
Businesses where a considered decision meets a conversation.
Our initial focus is consumer-facing businesses where people research, compare and decide — and where a conversion can be measured.
- Consumer brands
- Ecommerce / DTC
- Travel and experiences
- Digital products
- Education
- Consumer applications
- Eligible local services
Eligibility, category rules and market availability are set by OpenAI’s advertising policies, not by us; we confirm them for your business during the assessment.
It is not the right moment for everyone.
Better said now than three months into a retainer. The channel is probably not right for you yet if:
- You cannot yet measure a conversion on your own site or app
- You cannot fund a test large enough to produce a readable result
- You need guaranteed, immediate return on the first campaign
- You are looking for exposure rather than measurable outcomes
- You could not service a meaningful increase in demand
None of these is a judgement on the business. Several are things we can help fix first, which is often the more useful engagement.
Proof
No case studies yet. We would rather say so.
Impossible Solutions is at the founding stage: no published case studies, no benchmark figures, no client logos. Anything of that kind on this site would be invented, so there is none.
Proof is built the slow way, pilot by pilot, with permission, from reconciled evidence. Until it exists, what we can show is the method, the sources and the limits, and a decision framework that treats Stop as an honest outcome.
How we work, in plain terms
- Your company owns and controls its advertiser account. We work inside it with the access you grant, and that access can be revoked at any time.
- Media spend is paid by you, directly to OpenAI, and is entirely separate from our service fees.
- Campaign results are not guaranteed. A new channel is exactly where guarantees would be dishonest.
- Suitability is evaluated before any spend is recommended, and early tests are sized to produce a readable result rather than a headline.
FAQ
Questions worth asking early.
Answers about OpenAI’s product reflect its official documentation as of the verification date on the explainer page; where something depends on OpenAI policy or rollout, we say so.
01What are ChatGPT Ads?
ChatGPT Ads are advertising placements that appear in ChatGPT, clearly labelled as sponsored and separate from ChatGPT’s response. Advertisers buy them through OpenAI’s Ads Manager, target them by geography, platform, audience and conversational context, and measure outcomes with OpenAI’s Pixel and Conversions API.
It is a live channel with self-service access in 31 European markets, not a pilot. The details — formats, targeting controls, reporting — are defined by OpenAI and continue to develop.
02Who can currently see ads?
According to OpenAI’s Help Center, ads may appear for people on the Free and Go plans; Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu accounts do not see ads, and Free-plan users can choose an ads-free option with reduced usage limits. Ads are not shown to accounts identified as belonging to people under 18.
Availability by market is set by OpenAI. We confirm the current position for your target markets during the assessment rather than publishing a figure here that may go stale.
Depends on OpenAI policy or rollout, which may change.
03Is Impossible Solutions affiliated with OpenAI?
No. Impossible Solutions is an independent ChatGPT Ads specialist. We are not OpenAI, not owned by OpenAI, and hold no partner, agency, reseller or certification status from OpenAI. OpenAI has not endorsed us and we have no privileged access to its products.
We refer to ChatGPT, ChatGPT Ads, Ads Manager, the OpenAI Pixel and the Conversions API descriptively, to identify the products we work with. If that ever changes, we will say so explicitly.
04Does advertising influence ChatGPT answers?
No. Per OpenAI, ads run on separate systems from the chat model, and advertisers have no ability to shape, rank or alter ChatGPT’s responses. Ads are labelled and visually separate from the answer.
If a prospective client’s goal is to influence what the assistant says about them, we are not the right partner for that work.
05Who owns the advertiser account?
You do. Campaigns run in an advertiser account owned by your company, in your company’s name, with your company’s payment method. Media is paid by you directly to OpenAI; our fees are invoiced separately.
We work inside your account with the access you grant. If we stop working together, the account, its history and its data stay with you.
06What does the Ads Fit Assessment cost, and how long is the pilot?
The 25-minute readiness call is free and carries no obligation. The Ads Fit Assessment is €495: gates, weighted dimensions and a written recommendation. If a Founding Performance Pilot starts within 30 days of the assessment, that €495 is credited in full against the pilot fee.
The pilot itself runs 45 days from the moment readiness is complete, for one market and one primary conversion path, at a founding service fee of €2,500. Typical media is €5,000–10,000, paid by you directly to OpenAI. Complex measurement or backend implementation is scoped separately. Engagements in the United States and Canada are selective and quoted individually.
07How much advertising budget is required?
OpenAI sets daily budget minimums by account currency. Beyond that, the honest answer depends on your category, margin and how quickly you need a readable result.
What matters is whether the budget is large enough to produce a decision. A test too small to support a decision is an expense, not an experiment. For a founding pilot, media is typically €5,000–10,000 across the 45 days, paid by you directly to OpenAI; the €2,500 founding service fee is separate.
Depends on OpenAI policy or rollout, which may change.
08What businesses are eligible?
Eligibility is governed by OpenAI’s advertising policies. Ad creative, images and landing pages must comply, and accounts and creatives go through review. Some regulated categories are prohibited or limited to certain markets: eligibility depends on current OpenAI policy, on advertiser and account eligibility, and on the market, and we re-verify it before planning. Political advertising is not currently allowed. Self-service access through Ads Manager also depends on the country in which the advertising legal entity — the one that is billed — is based.
Our own initial focus is consumer brands, ecommerce and DTC, travel and experiences, digital products, education, consumer applications and eligible local services. We verify eligibility for your specific business before any commitment. Approval is OpenAI’s decision, not ours, and we never promise it.
Depends on OpenAI policy or rollout, which may change.
09Which markets do you work in?
The European Union first: that is where we build proof. Advertisers in the United States and Canada are taken on selectively from the start, and other markets OpenAI supports are considered on request. We are based in Hungary and work remotely by default, in English or Hungarian; local-language creative is arranged per market.
The practical constraints are platform-side: whether self-service access is available for the country where your advertising legal entity is based and billed, and whether your category is eligible. We check both before proposing work.
Depends on OpenAI policy or rollout, which may change.
10Do you see what people say to ChatGPT?
No, and neither does any advertiser. OpenAI does not give advertisers a user’s chats, history, memories, name, email, precise location or IP address. Ads are selected by OpenAI’s systems; advertisers receive aggregated reporting and the events their own Pixel and Conversions API record.
Buyer Intelligence therefore works only from advertiser-side signals and platform-reported aggregates: contexts, creative angles, landing-page behaviour, conversion quality and CRM outcomes. Never private conversations.
